Um das caracter\u00edsticas do seu trabalho \u00e9 a sustentabilidade e a preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com o planeta e as futuras gera\u00e7\u00f5es. Assim, Pinhel criou suas obras a partir de materiais descartados e res\u00edduos s\u00f3lidos que foram transformados com uso de ar quente ou fogo e, em seguida, unidos por m\u00e9todos qu\u00edmicos, mec\u00e2nicos ou t\u00e9rmicos. Alguns desses mat\u00e9rias s\u00e3o embalagens, garrafas e sacolas pl\u00e1sticas, peda\u00e7os de vidro quebrado, cer\u00e2mica, m\u00f3veis, madeiras, folhas, pedras, pe\u00e7as de metal em geral.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Atualmente, Alexandre Pinhel faz doutorado em Engenharia de Materiais para avan\u00e7ar ainda mais em sua obra.
